RudeGoose designed a full corporate identity, including stationery and a brochure website for financial planning services company, Concept Financial Planning.

The portrayed image had to strike a careful balance between representing Concept’s forward thinking, fresh, client-centred values, but still inspire confidence in the responsibility, reliability and longevity of the company.

The arrow device in the logo has been developed throughout the identity and especially in the strapline, to suggest building blocks.

This logo and website were designed for a specialist will writer. Every stage of the process was focussed on striking the right balance between being serious and professional; and being approachable, accessible and straightforward.

The choice of a serif font and restricted colour scheme, with subtle visual clues indicating documentation and paperwork, reassure the visitor that this is not a radical individual, trying to recklessly go against the grain, yet the welcoming graphic on the home page, slight roundedness in the logo font and simple, user-centric navigation invite them to engage with the content.

An additional aid to the accessibility of the site is the tooltips function. The content management system contains a pre-defined list of legalese words and phrases that could potentially confuse or alienate visitors. Whenever one of these words or phrases appears in the site content, it appears as a link which, when hovered over, displays a “translation” of the phrase.

The site design is sensitive to the colour palette used in the jewellery and makes use of the strong product shots to aid navigation. This site represents both a visual refresh and a functional upgrade of its predecessor. The company have a strong, fun and vibrant logo and colour scheme, which required careful management to maintain freshness and energy in the site without allowing the colours to become overpowering. This balance has been achieved with an abundance of white space, a strong grid layout and restrained use of images.

The site owner has complete control over the content of the website, which, though it is a simple brochure at present, also has the ability to grow to accommodate any additional functionality that may be required in the future.

This brochure website was created for a group of exclusive salons and spas in Surrey. The dark site design with subtle textural contrast allows the warmth and quality of the salon photography to take centre stage.

The home page features a Flash animation displaying a selection of images of the salons, products and salon employees.

This ecommerce site provides a showcase and point of purchase for the unique jewellery of Ruth Wood. The design, layout and colour of the site elements are pared back almost as far as is possible in order to support and not overshadow the photography. This clean, simple style and grid-led layout also result in an easy, intuitive purchasing process. The home page is extremely minimal in design but is balanced and is kept fresh by the randomisation of featured jewellery pieces.

This logo and website were designed for BodyTalk practicioner, Stacey McIntyre. Having struggled to find high quality photographic imagery for the site that conveyed just the right message, we turned instead to a range of illustrations. These strike the difficult balance of making the website feel welcoming, and promoting the idea of thriving and flourishing; while avoiding the rather cliched imagery often associated with alternative therapies.

The website has been built using WordPress to give full administrative control to the site owner, and also incorporates a blog.

Fishing for a Friend is a social networking site that has been carefully designed to provide the ideal environment for like-minded people to find one another and strike up friendships.

This was a Marketing Partners collaboration project and featured a complete overhaul of the old website to correct some broken features and introduce a great deal of new functionality resulting in a fully bespoke system. Each area of the site required sensitive redesign and coding to maintain the identity that has been created through the use of original illustrations.
